Zara's World

Life can get going so fast. There are so many obligations - work, meals, exercise, house cleaning, bills, mortgage, car maintenance, yardwork, etc. I will admit that I am still adjusting to my new reality - working mom, precious little baby at home, more housework, less time to fix dinner...oh yeah...tiredness! Every night before bed I try to just silently reflect on all of the good in my life (there is a lot of it) and try to put the anxiety aside. Sometimes I only have to flip through my phone pictures to remember the sweet, simple gifts the day has brought. Here are a couple of my favorites recently:

Clockwise from top left (1) Post bath time daddy snuggles absolutely melt my heart, (2) let's be honest, babies aren't happy 100% of the time, heck she's even cute when she's hungry, (3) zonked out after a hard day with the grandmas, (4) first day at the pool!!!

Zara makes time slow down; the logistics of a baby require my full attention and help distract me from the sometimes overwhelming list of chores I want to accomplish. She forces me into her world, her needs come first...the dishes and literally everything else are a distant 70 millionth.

I needed this more than I realized.
