I'm sorry if you are tired of baby posts, but until I physically go back to work next week this is basically my life right now!
Yesterday was a tough mom day - baby was fussy most of the day, she didn't want to settle down for naps and I just couldn't seem to figure out how to make her happy. At one point I just needed a few minutes baby-free to decompress a little so I put her in the swing and turned on the rain forest sounds. I went upstairs to try to read a few more work emails and eventually noticed that I didn't hear any little baby squeaks. I looked over the railing and saw this:
Thank god for dogs who are willing to be on mom duty when mom needs a breather!
I also must mention a fun little fact - Zara (with dad's help) got me my own web address for Mother's Day!! Now you don't have to worry about typing the 'blogspot' part, it's just www.nerdyapril.com! I am super stoked about it!!

Awww! Our dog watches the baby too, in the swing, in the bouncer, on the play mat, or even when she's on the couch. So cute. Hang in there, new mama!
