Halloween

Well here I am on Halloween night...no parties to attend, ASU lost today and my boyfriend is enjoying himself down in Auburn. [ I guess Halloween isn't much of a Diabetes-centered holiday anyway. ]

Let's be honest though: I'm not complaining. Yes, it is fun to dress up and "have fun" in whatever sense of those words you are thinking, but this year I am just happy to be me at this certain time, in this certain place and with these certain people. I'm so happy to be this close to graduation (I just got my announcements in the mail, yes, you should be expecting one dear reader!) and hopefully close to having a job! I'm happy to be in Arizona where it is semi-warm, even now at the beginning of November! I'm happy to have such a great family to hang out with, and a great boyfriend who attempts to take care of my diabetes via 2,000 miles away.

I'm just happy, and honestly, I don't need to dress up in a slutty costume, drink copious amounts of alcohol or make a complete fool of myself to prove that to anyone.

Happy Halloween!
